This Department of Defense project was sponsored through the National Strategic Research Institute. My role was to translate lessons from open-source software development and software engineering into the nuclear command, control, and communications certification space.
The interdisciplinary NSRI and UNO team examined Navy and Air Force nuclear certification processes, identified differences in their approaches, assessed guidance and directives, and presented opportunities for improved mission assurance to senior U.S. Strategic Command leadership.
